Gratitude and Upcoming Events:

The Bourbonnais Grove Historical Society expresses deep gratitude to the youth group and supervisors of the Maternity BVM Youth Group (Camp MOSH--Maternity Outreach Service for Humanity) for weeding, mulching, and planting in the museum gardens on August 2 and 3, 2010--and we really enjoy the bench that Camp MOSH donated!

Camp MOSH students and Master Gardener supervisor Diane Taden rest after a hot day of work.  The bench is a nice addition to the gardens adjacent to the daylily beds.

The BGHS also thanks the Kankakee Kultivators for the $500 grant to create the Le Jardin de Potages (Kitchen Garden) at the rear of the Letourneau Home.  The Society is also deeply grateful to the Master Gardeners and volunteers who beautified the grounds around the museum all through the growing season.

The fall craft show took place on Saturday December 10, 2011--for more information, see the Craft Show page.

After a morning of major pruning on September 18, Master Gardeners John Hassett and Maurice Long along with BGHS members Bruce Moran and Steve Monts (left to right) pose in front of the pruned brush.

The Christmas Open House at the Letourneau Home was from 1-4:00 pm on Sunday December 18.

The Letourneau Home gardens were featured on the Kankakee Kultivators Garden Walk on Friday June 17, 2011.

The Annual Dinner meeting of the BGHS took place on Thursday May 5, 2011 at 6:00 pm at the Harlow E. Hopkins Alumni Center of Olivet Nazarene University (East Marsile Street, Bourbonnais, IL).
